今と違って昔の川はコンクリートが無く石と土だったそうです。その川の中で石の段差の所に100匹以上のうぐいと言う魚が集まっていました。それを網ではなく手で何十匹もつかまえられたそうです。あと、今では見なくなった八目ウナギもいたと言っていました。
