別所川が三方湖に流入する河口付近で、ヒシ群落がすぐ近くに見られる場所であった。船上からもんどりによりブルーギルとウキゴリを捕獲。河口付近の湖岸はコンクリート護岸であった。水深は1.1mで底質は砂だった。透明度は水深以上で湖底が見えた。関連記事：絵画612
